Steps to Take for Urgent Care
If your pet requires urgent medical care, carefully follow the steps listed below.
- Schedule An Appointment Right Away - During our regular hospital hours, contact us as soon as possible to schedule an urgent visit for your pet. If your pet requires urgent care outside of our clinic hours, or if your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, contact one of the hospitals listed above and let them know you are on your way before leaving.
- Follow Instructions Provided - When you call to let the hospital know you are on your way, instructions may be provided to help you apply first aid or otherwise make your pet as comfortable as possible. Follow these instructions carefully.
- Remain Calm - Remain calm and be extra careful around your pet. When an animal is in pain, they often react negatively towards anyone trying to help, and could bite or scratch.
